video-fr | The Archeology of the 21st Century / La arqueología del siglo 21

Presentation language: Spanish with English & French subtitles

About the presentation:
In recent decades, archaeological studies in Puerto Rico have reaffirmed the growing strength of the heritage and legacy of our indigenous native peoples. Significant research projects highlight the origins, extensive networks of navigation and exchange, technological capabilities, genetic heritage, and the social and cultural diversity of the ancient indigenous societies that inhabited our islands. The current presentation analyzes the main archaeological studies carried out in Puerto Rico and how their findings enrich and complement the revival of ancient traditions and ancestral ways of life practiced and promoted by various indigenous community organizations, both on the island and in the diaspora.
