video-fr | Navigating Traditional Knowledge and Intellectual Property – “The Adventures of the Yakuanoi”

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has produced a 4-minute animation, telling the story of the Yakuanoi people – a fictitious indigenous community – as they navigate through the key issues regarding intellectual property and traditional knowledge.

Under the WIPO Open Access Policy, you can translate the animation into your indigenous language(s) for widespread dissemination so as to reach as many indigenous peoples and local communities as possible.

The translation of the script and subsequent editing process will be at your own cost, however, WIPO’s Traditional Knowledge Division is happy to provide logistical support.

Indigenous peoples and local communities who are interested in translating the film are encouraged to contact the Traditional Knowledge Division for more information (grtkf@wipo.int).
