LADORES (LAnguage DOcumentation and REvitalization Space )
Students Breann Hall Hernández and Claudio Hernández and Professor Aaron Huey Sonnenschein, of the Anthropology department at California State University Los Angeles created LADORES to serve as a virtual space to assist communities with language documentation and revitalization efforts. LADORES creates audiovisual materials for these languages and publishes these materials on various social media. We also seek use our platforms to publish the methodology so others can create similar materials. The first two languages covered by LADORES are Tsome (Highland Chontal) and Ñuu Saavi (Mixteco de San Juan Mixtepec). We welcome communities that want similar assistance and offer these services free of charge. Contact us at csula.ladores@gmail.com for more information.

Los estudiantes Breann Hall Hernández y Claudio Hernández y el profesor Aaron Huey Sonnenschein, del departamento de Antropología en la Universidad Estatal de California en Los Ángeles, crearon LADORES para servir como un espacio virtual para ayudar a comunidades con la documentación lingüística y con esfuerzos de revitalización lingüística. LADORES crea materiales audiovisuales para estas lenguas y publica estos materiales en varias redes sociales. También buscamos usar nuestras plataformas para publicar metodologías para que otros puedan crear materiales similares. Los primerosdos idiomas cubiertos por LADORES son Tsome (Chontal alto de Oaxaca) y Ñuu Saavi (Mixteco de San Juan Mixtepec). This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
