lien | Kel’

Kel' is a project about Veps, a vanishing language spoken in the rural northeastern parts of Russia. Comprised of 11 ambient compositions with a central focus on voice, it attempts to raise awareness of the endangered cultural heritage of the indigenous Veps people. The pieces are performed by singers with different levels of experience with Veps, ranging from native speakers to those who have never heard of the language before. The work of producing Kel' itself naturally involves the preservation of this rare language and reminds of its existence and its struggle.

In the link, you will find the whole album and a documentation for the project. Please feel free to contact me for further information.
Kindest regards,
Konstantin
