On October 3, 2023 the round table "Ethnocultural Mosaic" was held on the basis of the Municipal General Education Institution "Starobesovskaya basic general education school named after A.F. Yurtov" of Novomalyklinsky district of Ulyanovsk region in accordance with the implementation of the Plan of events dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of A.F. Yurtov on the territory of Ulyanovsk region (order of the Ministry of Education and Upbringing of Ulyanovsk region from 24.08.2023 № 39-PL).
The guests of the round table were pedagogical workers of Novomalyklinsky district who implement the ethno-cultural Mordovian component in educational organizations of the district (25 people).
Sophonov addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech Vladimir Anatolievich, chairman of the public organization "Ulyanovsk regional Mordovian national-cultural autonomy", who stressed that today it is very important to preserve respect for the native language, to original cultural values, to the memory of their ancestors, to every page of our national history and to do everything possible to preserve the Erzyan language, as Yurtov Avksenty Filippovich - the first educator of the Mordovian people - bequeathed to us".
Vladimir Anatolievich thanked pedagogical workers, noting the teachers of Novomalyklinsk kindergarten "Skazka" with letters of appreciation of the Ulyanovsk regional Mordovian national-cultural autonomy for fruitful work on preservation of traditions of the Mordovian people.
The participants of the round table were addressed by the first director of Starobesovskaya basic general education school Sudareva Antonina Fedorovna, who told that in 1871 the elementary school, formed as a parochial church school, after 6 years was transformed into a public land public school, the school in 1883-1889 already in 1883-1889. The central place in the museum is occupied by the exposition devoted to A.F. Yurtov, an educator, who for the first time in Russia, in 1884 -1889, taught children to read and write in their native (Erzya) language in our village. "Yurtov in his work with pupils was not limited to the walls of the school, he widely involved children in extracurricular activities to collect works of Mordovian folklore. In his free time from school affairs, Avksenty Filippovich went around neighboring Mordovian villages and hamlets, promoting books in the Mordovian language. Also with his pupils he laid out a park near the school, where he planted young pine trees. The century-old pine trees still decorate the school grounds, pleasing the eyes of the villagers in winter and summer with their greenery", - said the students-guides.
The highlight of the museum are personal belongings of A.F. Yurtov (mug, inkwell and salad bowl), which were gladly presented to our museum by his grandson Anatoly Viktorovich Yurtov. Yurtov, who is an honorary guest of the school.
By the order of the Council of deputies of Novomalyklinsky district ¹28/21 from 25.03.2003 the school was named after A.F. Yurtov - Mordovian enlightener, author of the first primer for Mordovians, who started teaching literacy in the Erzyan language in the school in the village of St. Besovka. St. Besovka. On February 20, 2004, on the 150th anniversary of the enlightener, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the school building.
