Preparation for publication and release of books in the Komi-Permyak language

The Komi-Permyak Ethnocultural Center publishes books in the Komi-Permyak language as part of its publishing activities. In 2022 were published:

  • The collection of plays by the classic of Permian Komi literature Vasily Klimov “Дзирыт гожум” (Hot summer). The book includes six plays by the author in the Komi-Permyak language. These are already familiar to the audience of the Komi-Permian Drama Theater, but not previously published a dramatic adaptation of the legend about the legendary founder of Kudymkar “Кудым-Ош йылісь висьтас” (The legend of Kudym-Osh), the comedy “Гӧтрасьны, дак гӧтрасьны” (To marry like this) and a children’s fairy tale “Соя-вона, Ёма да Кам” (Brother and sister, Yoma and Kam). Three historical dramas were published for the first time – “Христос корсьӧ Чойдорӧ” (Christ asks for Choidor), “Дзирыт гожум” (Hot summer) and “Вот оз ло война” (There will be no war). The plays are accompanied by an article by literary critic Tatyana Ermakova about Vasily Klimov as a playwright.
    Circulation – 500 copies. The book was donated to schools and libraries of the Komi-Permyak Okrug.
  • The book of Vera Melekhina “Пельнянь понда дӧмас” (Patch for dumplings). The book includes poems, stories and fairy tales for children of preschool and primary school age in the Komi-Permyak and Russian languages. The book can be used for home reading and extracurricular activities at school. Circulation 500 copies. The book was donated to schools and libraries of the Komi-Permyak Okrug.
  • Collection of short stories by Mikhail Martynov “Минькалӧн висьттэз” (Minka’s stories). The book includes the author’s stories about everyday life in the rural outback, in the Komi-Permyak and Russian languages. Circulation 300 copies. The book was donated to schools and libraries of the Komi-Permyаk Okrug.
This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
