Interregional ethnocultural forum “Komi peoples: history, culture, co-creation”

The interregional ethnocultural forum “Komi peoples: history, culture, co-creation” was held on July 7-9, 2022 in Kudymkar, the villages of Kochevo and Verkh-Yusva. The forum was attended by delegations from the districts of the Komi-Permyatsky Okrug, the Afansevsky district of the Kirov region and the Republic of Komi. The event was attended by 1068 people. These are government officials, scientists, workers of culture and education.

The forum included popular science lectures, creative laboratories, а contest of masters of arts and crafts “Kipoda Mort” (Craftsmen), and discussion platforms.

Forum “Komi peoples: history, culture, co-creation” – a platform for discussing problems in the field of preserving Komi cultures, exchanging experience and practices.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
