All-Russian Scientific Forum «Tatars and the Islamic World»
Round table discussions organized by the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan during the All-Russian Scientific Forum with international (online) participation «Tatars and the Islamic World», were held on May 18, 2023 at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.
With reports at the round table discussion «Tatars: the ways and crossroads of the civilizational world», which was moderated by the candidate of philological sciences, head of the laboratory of comparative Tatar studies of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Marcel Ibrahimov and candidate of pedagogical sciences, political observer of the radio station «Vesti FM» Marat Safarov, made a report scientists from the Institute of World Culture (UNESCO), the Institute of the Tatar Encyclopedia and Regional Studies, the Institute of History named after Sh. Marjani of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Center of Islamic Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Research Center «Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences», Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, the Department of Culture of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, etc.
The round table discussion «Arabographic epigraphic monuments of the Volga-Ural macroregion: the latest research» was devoted to the study of Arabic epigraphic monuments and moderated by the candidate of philological sciences, head of the Written Heritage Center of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilham Gumerov and the leading researcher of the same center Azat Akhunov. The discussion of the declared topic was attended by scientists of the Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn, Institute of Archeology named after A.Kh. Khalikov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Institute of History named after Sh. Marjani of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Written Heritage Center of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and others.
The discussion by the problems and prospects of modern archeography was attended by scientists from the Ufa State Institute of Arts named after Z. Ismagilov, Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan, Written Heritage Center of the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after G. Ibrahimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Center of Islamic Heritage of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy, etc.
These events were organized during the scientific forum «Tatars and the Islamic world» and the VIII All-Russian scientific and practical conference «Readings named after Shihabetdin Marjani», dedicated to the anniversaries of prominent Tatar educators – the 200th anniversary of Khusain Faizkhanov (1823–1866) and the 205th anniversary of Shihabetdin Marjani (1818-1889).
