galerie-de-photo | Ulyanovsk Region Became the Leader of the International “Pushkin Dictation” Campaign

The results of the educational project were summed up on July 9th.

"For 11 years, the 'Pushkin Dictation' has united fans of the Great Poet's works. Traditionally, the Ulyanovsk region has been among the leaders in educational campaigns by the number of participants. This year was no exception: about 75,000 residents of our region answered the Dictation questions, allowing the Ulyanovsk region to once again become the leader of the campaign. I would like to note that all participants will receive certificates, and the winners and prize-winners will receive diplomas confirming their status," said the Minister of Education and Upbringing of the Ulyanovsk Region, Natalia Semenova.

The dictation attracted fans of Alexander Pushkin's works from all regions of Russia, as well as from Belarus, Germany, Spain, Italy, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. In Russia, the campaign was joined by more than 30,000 people of different ages: preschoolers, schoolchildren, students of technical schools, colleges, and universities, as well as representatives of older generations. It should be noted that the campaign provides separate sets of tasks for foreign participants.

Teachers and students of Lyceum No. 45 at Ulyanovsk State Technical University have been regular participants in the "Pushkin Dictation" for 5 years. According to Russian language and literature teacher Yulia Fedorova, such events are necessary because they unite people interested in history, culture, and literature and broaden the horizons of all participants.

"The tasks of the campaign were prepared on a competitive basis, they are diverse and unique. In each age category, there are no more than 10 tasks. Of course, they require knowledge and are comprehensive. These tasks involve working with the spelling and punctuation of Pushkin's texts, as well as with quotes from his works. Moreover, the organizers of the Dictation allow the use of additional sources when composing answers, since the campaign is primarily educational rather than competitive," shared Yulia Fedorova.

It is worth noting that the "Pushkin Dictation" is an international educational project aimed at promoting the Russian language and shaping the image of Russia as a country with a rich cultural heritage. Traditionally, it was held on June 6, the birthday of Alexander Pushkin. In 2024, the "Pushkin Dictation" became part of the All-Russian educational and enlightening festival "Pushkin's Word in Colors and Sounds." It is organized with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation as part of the National Project "Education" and is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the writer's birth.
