The multinational creative forum, organized by the state institution of the Samara region "House of Friendship of Peoples", was timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day. This holiday was established by the decision of the 30th session of the UNESCO General Conference in November 1999, and since 2000 it has been celebrated annually around the world on February 21 in order to preserve national identity and protect the linguistic and cultural diversity of the peoples of the world.

Scientists argue that the native language is the language that a person learns from early childhood without special training, being in the appropriate language environment.

Based on this statement, we can say that the native language is the voice of the native people and a magical instrument, to the sounds of which the strings of our soul respond. The voice of the ancestors is heard in it, the pages of the history of their people are reflected. It is the native language that provides a strong bond that connects all generations of the people into one great historical living whole and is an integral part of the Motherland.

It was about this that Igor Viktorovich Burov, director of the GKU SO "House of Friendship of Peoples", spoke in his welcoming speech, opening the Interethnic event "ETNOSLOVO".

Pupils of the Tatar, Belarusian, Kazakh, German, Chuvash, Ukrainian, Armenian Sunday schools and creative teams at the national public organizations of the Samara region presented their creative performances at this forum.
