Writers of the native land

Traditionally, literature days are held in Belgorod region at the end of November. “Writers of the native land” – under this name, a meeting of students of the Orthodox gymnasium with Belgorod writers Lyudmila Bragina and Oleg Romenko took place. The meeting was opened by Lyudmila Bragina, a well–known poet, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, who told about the studio “Molodost”, of which she is the head. Then Oleg Romenko, a Belgorod poet and novelist, winner of various literary competitions, took the floor. The writer warmly recalled his first childhood experiences in versification, the beginning of his creative career, and talked about how difficult it is to find interesting subjects. The guys prepared questions: they were interested in which authors poets love, how they relate to modern literature, what they write about and how long the authors create their works. The writers generously shared their experiences, interesting stories, and ideas. We hope that the acquaintance with the works of the masters of the word, our fellow countrymen, will continue in the future.
