The XXIII Republican Karelian Literature Festival named after V.E. Brendoev was held in the city of Olonets

The program of the Festival “Täs synnynrannan minun algu” included a presentation of V. Brendoev’s poem “Lullaby”, an exhibition of drawings based on the author’s works, master classes in traditional crafts.

No one was left indifferent by the performance of Kyl’mil in Karelian by the theater studio “Wheel of Life” of the Olonets Museum of Karelians-Livviks. The concert of the folk instruments ensemble of the Center for Additional Education showed the musical talents of the younger generation of the Olonets land.

The event was held within the framework of the project “Rahvahan yhtehine musto” KROO “Olonetskye Karely” using a grant from the Head of the Republic of Karelia.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages.
