The “Tales of Grandma Poslanne” were published in Yamal

A book called «Няврмлам Послангнэ унангки монщат» (“The Tales of Grandma Poslanne”) by a Khanty writer Zinaida Longortova has been published in Yamal. The book brings us to the unforgettable world of Khanty fairy tales and legends.

Previously, fairy tales were told every evening in any chum or a village hut, and the world of ancestors with its heroes and beauties came to life in the eyes of the listeners. At that time people invited famous storytellers to stay in a camp or a village. Both children and adults loved fairy tales.

The book includes 19 fairy tales in the Khanty language. Each story is illustrated with a colorful drawing.
