The premiere from the Veps Folk Choir

On October 21, the premiere of the comic musical program “Oma Rozmel vävud“ from the Honored Collective of Folk Art of Russia of the Veps Folk Choir will take place.

The Vepsian Folk Choir is a musical choral group in the Republic of Karelia, performing Vepsian folk songs. The repertoire of the collective includes samples of traditional folk art of the Veps, as well as modern songs and dances based on traditional folk models. It was founded in 1936 in the ancient Veps village of Sheltozero.

The new program includes comic compositions, ditties, tales, teasers and fervent dances.
