Today, at our stand at VDNH, visitors are very interested in a master class on traditional headdresses, which is conducted by Yulia Filippova, head of the Ethnocenter of Karelian Culture “VIENA”.
A headdress for a Karelian woman has always served not only as an obligatory element of a traditional costume, reflecting the social status of the hostess, but also as a real talisman. Girls’ and women’s headdresses had their own characteristics, changed over time under the influence of fashion.
