Training Webinar On The Work With The Website Dedicated To The International Decade Of Indigenous Languages

On 8 November 2022, The House of Peoples of Russia with the support of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affaires held a second training webinar on the portal dedicated to the International Decade of Indigenous Languages for representatives of Federal national cultural autonomies, Houses of Friendship, educational institutions and non-profit organizations that deal with language issues. 76 people joined the webinar.

The participants were welcomed by Mikhail Mishin, Deputy Director of the House of the Peoples of Russia and Head of the Situation Centre of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affaires. He told about in-depth analysis of the state of the languages that is carried out as part of the general monitoring of the situation in the field of interethnic relations in Russia by the Situation Center.

Feride Aroniia, Acting Head of the Department for the Support and Development of Languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation, described to the participants the basic principles of working with the Internet platform dedicated to the International Decade of Indigenous Languages and expressed readiness to ensure the necessary level of cooperation with the parties involved in the process.

Timur Mukhamedov, Adviser to the director of The House of the Peoples of Russia, stressed that such events would serve as an effective platform for the exchange of successful practices and would help to strengthen cooperation.
