Methodical seminar aimed at supporting program and project activities of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomies of Russia and other NGOs operating in the field of the state national policy

The House of the Peoples of Russia held methodical seminar aimed at supporting program and project activities of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomies of Russia and other NGOs operating in the field of the state national policy.

The work of the seminar was divided into 4 sections including section dedicated to the projects in the sphere of preservation and development of the native languages ​​of the peoples of Russia. Representatives of the Federal National and Cultural Autonomies of Russia were able to discuss language projects planned for 2023 with the acting head of the Department for Support and Development of the languages of the Peoples of Russia and receive recommendations on its better implementation with the representative of the Department for Programs and Projects in the Sphere of National Policy of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affaires.

The Head of The House of Peoples of Russia Anna Polezhaeva concluded that that format of work would advance project activities and ensure focus on the realization of more large-scale uniting events with the participation of different peoples of multinational Russian Federation.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
