Literary and musical program “I express my feelings in rhyme…”

On March 16, 2024, the Sverdlovsk Regional Interethnic Library hosted a literary and musical program “I express feelings in rhyme …” dedicated to the Year of the Family in Russia and timed to coincide with International Women’s Day and International Poetry Day.

The concert program was attended by representatives from many public organizations, such as: “Sverdlovsk Regional Bashkir Center”, Sverdlovsk regional public organization “Kyrgyzstan-Ural”, Regional public organization National Cultural Autonomy of Mari People of Sverdlovsk region “Ural Mari”, Udmurt National Cultural Society “Eges”, Sverdlovsk regional regional public organization to promote the preservation of the identity, language and national culture of the peoples of Tajikistan “Tajik Diaspora “Didor”.

Throughout the evening, poems were sung in Bashkir, Kyrgyz, Mari, Chuvash and other languages, which were dedicated to family, love and fidelity, the relationship of parents and children, the continuity of generations and the most important family values.

Musical numbers performed by students of the Yekaterinburg Children’s Art School No. 4 “Art Constellation” became a wonderful musical gift for the concert audience. The Rondo Chamber Choir (artistic director M.Y. Pustyakova, concertmaster A.S. Koroleva), the Divertimento ensemble (artistic director V.G. Shukurova), the duet of the Ganiev sisters, Koroleva Olga, Ksenia Vavilova, Maria Vyazovikova presented wonderful melodies and magical sounds to all those gathered.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages. Please note that the platform has been inactive since February 2025 and no longer accepts new uploads. While work is underway to provide an updated solution, the Secretariat of IDIL 2022–2032 remains available for any inquiries at: indigenous.languages@unesco.org.
