Literary and musical program “Alisher Navoi – singer of the East” at the International Library

On February 7, 2025, the Interethnic Library hosted an evening dedicated to the 584th anniversary of the Turkic poet, philosopher, statesman, founder of the Uzbek literary language, Alisher Navoi. The program was attended by activists of the NGO Center for the Commonwealth of the Peoples of the Urals and Uzbekistan “Dustlik” (“Friendship”), whose chairman is Abid Shakirovich Turatov. The Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg, Ulugbek Bahodirjonovich Hallakov, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.

The poet Gulom Ikrom and Galina Alexandrovna Rodionova read the pearls of Navoi poems with feeling.
There were songs performed by Farkhodzhan Yuldashev, accompanied by Asajon Akramov. The audience danced with the artists! Presenter Azizbek Yakubov spoke effervescingly with the audience in Uzbek and Russian.
Alisher Navoi will live in the memory of generations, because he clearly understood: “The highest meaning of life is to serve the people… Of all riches, man is the highest.”

The indescribable atmosphere of the celebration of the peoples of Uzbekistan and the Urals was created by the bright national costumes of the participants. The music of the East performed by a musician and a singer was fascinating.
And as always, the charming presenter Irina Urusova created a particularly warm and kind holiday atmosphere!

The evening ended with a delicious treat – all the spectators were invited to the table! An abundance of fruits, steaming pilaf with flatbreads and hot tea – this continuation of the evening was arranged by Abid Shakirovich and his friends! We thank everyone for their cooperation!
