Galina Artanzeyeva from Ovgort village (Shuryshkarsky rayon, Yamal-Nenets autonomous okrug) took the second prize in solo performance of traditional songs in the all-Russian festival Nomads of the North which took place in Moscow

Galina Artanzeyeva from Ovgort village (Shuryshkarsky rayon, Yamal-Nenets autonomous okrug) took the second prize in solo performance of traditional songs in the all-Russian festival Nomads of the North which took place in Moscow in  September 14-18, 2022.

Galina is a native speaker, quardian of the Khanty language and traditional culture, author and performer of authentic folklore of the Khanty people, winner of the award in the field of folklore activities of indigenous peoples of the North in the nomination Native peoples of Yamal in 2012.

In June 2022 she was awarded the Grand Prix of the International Ethnic festival Soul of the Tundra in Salekhard.

This collaborative platform was established to enable the community of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022–2032) to share events, activities, and resources. The content published on the platform is the responsibility of registered users and does not commit the Secretariat of the Decade (UNESCO) and/or the Members of the Global Task Force for Making a Decade of Action for Indigenous Languages.
