A festive evening dedicated to the 90th anniversaryof Elena Susoytook place nn February 8. The meeting was held in the Nenets language with consecutive translation into Russian and the languages of other peoples of the North.
Elena Susoy is a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, author of textbooks on the Nenets language, founder and head of the Leonid Laptsui Museum-Apartment.
She supported the idea of ethnopedagogy, demonstrated deeep knowledge of Nenets folklore, performed skillfully folk legends and tales, was a scientific consultant and a soloist of the “Syoyotei Yamal” folk song ensemble .
The evening dedicated to the memorable date was organized by the Department of Indigenous Peoples of the North of Yamal-Nenets autonomous okrug together with the Okrug Center of National Cultures.
The meeting was held within the framework of the 2022-2032 International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
