Evening in Memory of the Poet Vladislav Urtaev “I glorify only the Song of Light”

The evening’s proceedings served not only as a tribute to the memory of the poet, but also as an opportunity to respond with love to the love, sincerity, and confessionality of his poems.

Both guests and the library staff recited a number of poems by V. Urtaev. A musical presentation by the Mariinsky Theater branch imbued the proceedings with a distinctive poignancy.

A video program was prepared, and a campaign, entitled “A Poem in Your Pocket,” was organized. The guests of the evening received postcards inscribed with the poet’s poems as a gift.
