Flower-laying Ceremony to the grave of Kosta Khetagurov

As part of the celebration of the Day of the Ossetian language and literature in the pantheon of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the grave of the poet, playwright, publicist Kosta Khetagurov. The memory of the founder of Ossetian literature was honored by the Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania S.I. Menyailo. The event was attended by the Speaker of the Parliament T.R. Tuskaev, Prime Minister B.B. Dzhanaev, heads of executive authorities, cultural and educational figures of the republic,

schoolchildren, members of the public. Sergei Menyailo emphasised that today one of the most important tasks is to do our best in order to preserve the native language. He addressed the audience in the Ossetian language.

Flowers and wreaths were also laid down at the pedestal of the monument to Kosta Khetagurov on Theater Square. Officials, representatives of public organizations, just residents of the republic came to honor the memory of Kosta Khetagurov on the Day of the Ossetian language and literature.
