The educational quiz «National holidays of the peoples of the Far North»

30 pupils aged 14 participated in the educational quiz «National holidays of the peoples of the Far North» that took place at the Center for persons with disabilities «Preodolenie» in Nadym on Octoder, 14, 2022.

4 teams in the game formate got to know about the main holidays of the peoples of the Far North. All the tasks were interactive and the participants were constantly in contact with each other dicussing some ethnographic issues.

Of particular interest was a task «Encryption» where participants should guess the words in the indigenous peoples’ languages using images and pictures. All the words were connected with the subject of traditional holidays of the Northern peoples.

The game «True or false» let participants to demonstrate the knowledges and intuition in distinguishing the truthful information from fake.

An online platform let the children to compete in the knoweledges of the traditional holyday «Reindeer Herder’s Day» and to jigsaw a puzzle «Guess the holiday».

All the participants received awards and presents.

The event was held in the frame of the 2022-2032 International Decade of Indigenous Languages.
