PAMBANSANG KONGRESO SA NANGANGANIB NA WIKA 2022

Pambansang Kongreso sa Nanganganib sa Wika 2022 ​​is the second large-scale gathering of researchers, language scholars, teachers, community members, and advocates for the revitalization of endangered languages ​​hosted by the Commission on the Filipino Language better known as Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF). The first International Conference on Endangered Languages ​​was held in October 2018 at the National Museum of the Philippines. Renowned scholars and leading proponents of programs regarding the revitalization of endangered languages ​​from around the world presented their works at this conference.

This Congress aims to showcase best practices in research and program development for language revitalization, discuss issues affecting the vitality of languages, and to encourage indigenous peoples and communities to document and conduct research on their own language. The registration is free and open to teachers, especially of Indigenous Education and Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education, language researchers, orthography writers, Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMRs), Indigenous Peoples leaders, culture bearers, representatives of language organizations, representatives of cultural agencies, and local government units.
